We are down to the final stretch of the baseball season so let’s take a look at some of the best teams in the state (according to a combination of different articles) have to do to come out on top of their classification (these teams are in no particular order).B

Brookwood: Prep Baseball Georgia 4, Coaches Box Georgia 4, MaxPreps 5

Brookwood makes an strong case for the top 5 with wins over their biggest win being over Walton (number 7 according to Prep Baseball Georgia) 7-0. Their next 9 days they will play 5 games. This week they will go on a road trip to South Carolina, on April 3rd they will play Bluffton, and the following day they will play Beaufort High school. They then return to Georgia but are still on the road travelling to South Gwinnett High on April 8th, the 3 game series’ following two games will be April 10th, and April 12th. These games will be crucial to seeing what Brookwood is really made of.

Buford: Prep Baseball Georgia 5, Coaches Box Georgia 5, MaxPreps 4

Buford have won 12 out of their last 16 games and only have two more non-region games. One of which, will be a tough test this week on April 3rd playing 18-2 Marist (6th in 6a MaxPreps rankings). To close out the next week they will play a series vs Collins Hill, Collins Hill are 14-7 which might prove to be one of the toughest series of the year for Buford.

Lowndes: Prep Baseball Georgia 2, Coaches Box Georgia 3, MaxPreps 1

Lowndes have had an impressive season, with most of their losses being extreme close. Lowndes have started a series vs Camden County with 2 games remaining in it. After that, they will play their Valdosta in a 3 game series ending with a double header on April 12th.

North Gwinnett: Prep Baseball Georgia 3, Coaches Box Georgia 1, MaxPreps 7

North Gwinnett are riding in hot and have a 17-3 record which is tied for best in 7A. They will play two games April 3rd, one vs Colts Neck and another vs Bishop Moore. They have Mount St. Joseph on April 5th and close out the next 10 days with a two game series vs Peachtree Ridge (April 8th and 10th).

Parkview: Prep Baseball Georgia 1, Coaches Box Georgia 2, MaxPreps 2

Parkview comes in 18-3 and is riding off a huge win vs IMG Academy 6-3, IMG are 4th in the entire nation! Parkview continues down in Florida vs Sunrise Christian April 3rd, and April 4th vs Dunedin. They then return back the peach state a 3 game series vs Archer April 8th, 10th, and 12th.
