Kate Harpring

It was only a few months ago that sophomore Kate Harpring helped lead Marist to the 6A state championship. She ended up being an all-American along with numerous other accolades. Kate is paving her own path to basketball stardom.

Some see her last name and associate her with her her dad, former NBA player Matt Harpring. She isn’t the only star in the family with her brother Luke committed to Georgia Tech to play football, but after leading Marist to the State Championship she stands by herself as her own baller.

This season for Marist she averaged 27 points and 8 rebounds on road to state. She also surpassed 1000 career points and is now at over 1500. Throughout the entire season she was on the watchlist for Ms. Georgia Basketball. Harpring ended the year wining Region Player of the Year.

Kate Harpring now holds overs from all over the country. Some of the top ones include her dads alma mater Georgia Tech, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, and many, many more.

Kate was recently invited to Nike’s World Basketball Festival. She still has two years of eligibility and her and Marist are ready to compete for more championships.
