I recently wrote a player spotlight on new Norcross quarterback P.J. Wolfe, who has been picking up speed in the recruiting scene.
This past week was the last week of the January contact period. Which allows schools to visit recruits at their high schools and homes. Some of the schools that have stopped by Norcross and visited Wolfe are Miami (OH), East Tennessee State, Appalachian State, Memphis, Utah State, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, and UGA. Wolfe is ranked as the 9th best quarterback in the state in 2026.
Wolfe recently transferred to Norcross for his senior season. He carries some elite accolades with him, including being named a Sports Illustrated Georgia High School player of the week last season.
Wolfe said he enjoyed all the visits and was even surprised by the 6’5 frame of Miami (OH) assistant coach Andy Cruise.
It had been hard for Wolfe in the past, going from not knowing if he would play in the next game to having coaches coming in left and right. “It’s a surreal feeling that I don’t take for granted, all glory goes to God. He definitely answered my Prayers,” Wolfe described.
Wolfe gives all the glory to God for the change “because without him, none of this is possible.”
Wolfe wants any younger quarterbacks that are feeling discouraged to “keep chasing your dreams. They told me I couldn’t. Keep God first and everything will work out for itself.”
Since getting to Norcross, Wolfe says that Norcross has felt like a brotherhood. Wolfe describes coach Richardson as a role model and he pushes his players to be the best they can me. Wolfe describes his teammates as very talented and believes they have the talent to win the State Championship.
As for now, Wolfe is getting back to the grind and is focused on his goals for the season: Win a State Championship, to put his team in the best situation to win, and to be a great leader of men.
Wolfe has scheduled his first official visit of the new year to Alabama State on April 5th during for their Spring game. He told me, “I appreciate coach Barnette, and I can’t wait to be back in the nest. My first visit was nothing but great vibes and energy, and I loved the atmosphere.”
