Marshawn Hampton is a former professional basketball who has found a passion for coaching. Hampton worked his way up to becoming a high school basketball head coach.
Over the past few years he has taken Notre Dame Academy to new heights, going all the way to the state championship and a 18-10 record.
However, things took a turn after Hampton announced his shock departure from the Wolfhounds.
Since, Hampton has announced his new assistant job at Seckinger High School.
The Jaguars are coming off a 15-14 season, in which they finished third in their region and lost in the first round of the 5A playoffs.
Hampton and Seckinger will be lead by a solid group of stars including Caleb Wells (who averaged 19 points per game last season), rising senior Christian Pak and Vincent Wells.
Coach Hampton is looking forward to this new opportunity God has blessed him with.
“Lookin forward to growing with this group of players and staff. Especially coach Phillips he is a well experienced coach and I want to learn as much as I can from him. This is an interesting opportunity because I’ve coached against him when I was an assistant at Meadowcreek so this will fun.”
Hampton is also looking to learn more about the administration part of being a head coach.
As Hampton takes on this new Job, he looks to develop all of his new players to help them grow.

Seckinger will play in a few tournaments over the summer before beginning its 2025-2026 season.
