Lambert basketball is coming off one of its best seasons in history. Going 26-3 and not losing a single in region game, Lambert put on a dominant display of basketball.
2026 forward Will Dopfer was a leader on that squad. As a junior, he was named the region’s Player of the season and was a GBCA All-State selection.
Dopfer put up a big performance in the region-title game, scoring 26 points and adding 12 rebounds as Lambert went on to win.

Dopfer recently hit a game winner at a Kennesaw State camp against 6A semi-finalists Grayson and was offered by the Owls.
“I hit the game winner and I saw a coach coming over and he said I am everything they are looking for in a player.”
He now totals four offers from Stetson, KSU, Chattanooga, and Kent State.
He is looking to make a commitment by the November signing period.
Dopfer already has the most rebounds in Lambert history, and is looking to add all-time points and blocks to his list of accolades.
He broke Lambert’s single season scoring record with 549 points last season.
He had a season high of 40 points against Mountain View.
Dopfer will need to step as Lambert lost seven seniors in 2025.
“I want to win a region championship and make a run at state,” Dopfer stated.
Over the summer, he has been playing AAU ball with Game Elite AAU with some of the top players in Georgia.
Dopfer is certainly going to be one to watch, not just in his senior season, but also the years to come.
